Provided is a brief summary of each chapter and the time frame when it takes place, of the Book of Revelation.

Chapter
Time frame
Events
One

The first century and up to just before the start of the Tribulation.
The glorious savior, Jesus, is revealed.  The seven churches are greeted by John, God the Father, the Holy Spirit and Jesus Christ. John is told by Jesus that the events of the Tribulation will be revealed  and he must record what he sees in the Book of Revelation.
Two

The first century and up to just  before the start of the Tribulation.
The works of the Church in Ephesus (first century) are evaluated by Christ.  It has faith but does not love Jesus like it first did.

The works of the Church in Smyrna (first century and 100-312) are evaluated.  It has great faith and is enduring great persecution.
The works of the Church in Pergamum (first century and 312-606) are evaluated.  It has strong faith, but allows a hierarchy of clergy to rule over the churches.

The works of the Church in Thyatira (first century and 606-today) are evaluated.  It has many good works but allows heresy to be introduced into its doctrine from the pagan religions that are around it.   This is the Catholic Church and it continues to the present day.
Three

The first century and up to just before the start of the Tribulation. The works of the Church in Sardis (first century and 1517-today) are evaluated.  It is not watching for Christ's return and is performing works for personal glory, not to glorify God, so it's works are dead or incomplete.  This is the Protestant Church and it continues to the present day.
The works of the Church in Philadelphia (first century and 1750-today) are evaluated.  It has great faith and is accomplishing good works that glorify God.  Members are also watching for the return of Jesus Christ.  This is the Home or Bible church and it continues to the present day. Because of their faith, Jesus promises to rapture them to Heaven before the beginning of the Tribulation.

The works of the Church in Laodicea (first century and 1900-today) are evaluated.   It thinks it has faith because of its great material wealth but its spiritual health is wretched, miserable, poor, blind and naked.  This is the TV or mega church and it continues until today.
Four

A few days, weeks or months before the beginning of the Tribulation
The First Fruits Rapture.  John is invited through an open door into Heaven. The glory of Jesus in Heaven is  then revealed.  The Bride of Christ is sharing Jesus' glorious throne in Heaven and the Court of the Bride are sitting on their own thrones around Christ's throne.  The Bride leads in the worship of God the Father and Jesus Christ.  This chapter describes the open door promised to the Church in Philadelphia, Rev. 3:8.  The opening of chapter four ends the 2,000 year Church Age.
Five

A few hours  before the beginning of the Tribulation
The seven sealed scroll is announced and the only one that is worthy, and has the power and might to unleash its actions, is Jesus Christ.  He takes the scroll from God the Father and is ready to open it and initiate the Tribulation.
Six

The first half of the Tribulation
Jesus opens seal one of the scroll and this begins the seven year Tribulation.  The Antichrist then comes to power and begins his conquest of the world.  When Jesus opens seal one Antichrist comes to power in the world and then attacks and destroys Egypt.  Jesus then opens seal two.  Muslim nations around Israel attack it, but they are miraculously destroyed by God.  Jesus then opens seal three.  The world is in a disastrous economic condition.  Inflation soars and a day's food costs a day's wage.  Jesus then opens seal four.  Wars across the world break out with armies trying to take whatever food they can and many die from starvation, disease and battle. One-fourth of the world's population dies.  Jesus then opens seal five.  Main Harvest Christians left behind after the First Fruits Rapture are persecuted by Antichrist and many are tortured and die.  They are in Heaven waiting for the soon resurrection of their bodies.  He then opens seal six.  Jesus sends a great earthquake across the world and the people of the earth know that He has sent it.  They are very afraid and hide themselves in caves.  The first half of the Tribulation is almost complete.
Seven

Mid-Tribulation
Jesus then seals and protects 12,000 from each of the Tribes of Israel from death during the second half of the Tribulation.  They receive their resurrection bodies and are perfectly free of sins.  They will serve as the evangelists to the gentiles during the second half of the Tribulation.  Jesus then initiates the Main Harvest Rapture of all Christians left behind after the First Fruits Rapture.  Most Christians prove very faithful during the first half of the Tribulation and then are taken to Heaven.  They receive their resurrection bodies and will serve God forever in great love and faithfulness.
Eight

Mid-Tribulation to deep into the Second half of the Tribulation
Jesus then opens the seventh seal.  A great earthquake is then sent upon the earth, notifying the people of the earth that judgments from God will soon follow.  The seventh seal consists of seven trumpets worth of judgment from God upon the people of the earth.
The first trumpet.  Jesus sends fire and blood upon the earth and 1/3 of the trees of the earth and all of the green grass is burnt up.  Trumpet one is the beginning of the Day of The Lord. God's wrath upon the unsaved of the world lasts for the full 3 1/2 years of the second half of the Tribulation.

The second trumpet.  Jesus sends a meteor to crash upon the sea and 1/3 of the sea becomes blood; 1/3 of the sea creatures die and 1/3 of the ships are destroyed.
The third trumpet.  Jesus sends a meteor called Wormwood upon the earth and 1/3 of the fresh water becomes poisoned.  Many people die from drinking this polluted water.
The fourth trumpet. Jesus makes the earth rotate faster by 1/3rd.  A day is changed from 24 to 16 hours.  Possible ecological disasters may follow because of the increase of the speed of rotation.
Nine

Late into the Second half of the Tribulation
The fifth trumpet.  Jesus sends an angel to open the abyss and fallen angels that look like locusts are allowed out and torment those humans that have taken the mark of the beast (666).  This torment last five months.  This is the First Woe.
The sixth trumpet. Jesus allows four fallen angels to be set free from the River Euphrates so they can kill 1/3 of the men on the earth.  They build a great army of men numbering 200,000,000 soldiers to accomplish this gruesome event.  This is the Second Woe.
Ten

Near the end of the Tribulation
John receives a little book from Jesus and he is told to eat the little book.  John does this and it is sweet in his mouth but bitter in his stomach.  This book summarizes the events of the Tribulation.  It is sweet because evil is conquered; it is bitter because much suffering has happened to both believers and non-believers during the seven year Tribulation.  After this, the Tribulation is almost over; the wrath of God is almost finished.
Eleven

Mid Tribulation to near the end of the Tribulation
Jesus calls two prophets to prophecy the events of the second half of the Tribulation in the city of Jerusalem.  They are most likely Enoch and Elijah and they operate in the spirit of the Old Testament prophets.  Near the end of the Tribulation, they are killed by Antichrist.  After 3 1/2 days they are resurrected by God and the unsaved of the world view this event over TV and the Internet and are terrified.  The second woe completes as Christ's two prophets ascend into Heaven.
Twelve

Mid Tribulation
The parable of the woman and her persecution by the dragon is given.  Satan and his fallen angels are cast out of Heaven and he then persecutes the people of Israel and the saved Gentiles during the second half of the Tribulation.
Thirteen

Beginning of the Tribulation
The Antichrist makes his appearance to the nations.  He arises out of turmoil across the world and says he has a plan to restore peace and prosperity to the nations of the world.  He quickly arises to power and controls both the United States and a ten nation confederation out of the European Union and greatly influences the other nations of the world.  He blasphemes God and His people and even the saints in Heaven.  Antichrist overcomes the saints, the Christians left behind after the First Fruits Rapture and he persecutes all Gentiles that will be saved by Jesus during the Tribulation.  During the second half of the Tribulation, he will persecute the people of Israel and any saved gentiles.  The False Prophet also arises and forces the unsaved of the world to take the mark of the beast (666) and forces all with the 666 mark to worship the Antichrist.
Fourteen

Mid Tribulation to the Battle of Armageddon
Jesus stands on Mount Zion in Jerusalem before the 144,000 faithful Jewish saints.  They hear  the faithful  from Heaven playing their harps; these are the Christians that have received their resurrection bodies and are now serving God in Heaven.  The 144,000 Jewish saints then have their own song of joy and worship before Jesus.  They are ready to serve Him during the second half of the Tribulation.

A holy angel then preaches the  gospel to the people still on the earth and he strongly encourages all to glorify and worship Almighty God.  He then tells them that the judgment of God will be sent upon the earth after this.  Mankind is warned not to take the mark of the beast (666) and if they do, they will be tormented forever in the lake of fire (Revelation, chapter 20).

At the battle of Armageddon, Antichrist leads the armies of the world to fight against Jesus Christ when He returns to the earth to rule it for 1,000 years.  Jesus, of course wins this battle.  At this great battle the blood of the unsaved will flow to the horses bridle.  It will flow for 1,600 furlongs, about 200 miles.
Fifteen

Near the end of the Tribulation
The seventh trumpet announces the seven last plagues sent by God upon the earth.  This trumpet announces that seven bowls of God's wrath will be poured out on the world and these will happen very quickly,  in a few weeks or months.
Sixteen

Near the end of the Tribulation
The first bowl of God's wrath causes those humans that took the mark of the beast to break out with a terrible sore on their forehead or right hand.  The second bowl causes the sea to become blood and every single creature in the sea dies.  The third bowl causes all of the fresh water to become blood.  The fourth bowl causes the sun to send out an enormous solar flare and the unsaved are scorched with terrible heat.  The fifth bowl causes darkness upon the kingdom of the Antichrist and the weather turns exceedingly cold.  The sixth bowl causes the river Euphrates to dry up so the nations from the far east could come and attempt to defeat Jesus Christ at the battle of Armageddon; they will number in the millions.  The seventh bowl is Christ's response to this great army.  Of course Jesus defeats this army by the sword of His mouth.  He simply says something like "These armies attempting to do battle with me are now history."  All the soldiers will then just drop dead right in their tracks.  The seven year Tribulation is now complete.  Jesus has absolute victory over the Antichrist, the False Prophet, Satan and the nations of the world.
Seventeen

The beginning to the end of the Tribulation
Mystery Babylon (MB) consists of two components: a false religion that persecutes Christians during the first half of the Tribulation and the Jews during the second half and a political and military alliance of the USA and the European Union (EU).  MB leads a false religion of decadence and hatred for God and His peoples and the worship of Antichrist.  This chapter describes how religious MB controls the EU, which is led by Antichrist.  The EU hates religious MB and will destroy it before the end of the Tribulation.
Eighteen

The beginning to the end of the Tribulation
The decadence of political MB is described.  It imports many luxurious goods via great cargo ships from all corners of the world.  It buys gold, granite, precious stones, silk, beautiful hardwoods, cinnamon and spices, perfumes, automobiles, slaves and other valuable commodities and exotic foods from various nations of the world.  MB will be destroyed by fire in one hour near the end of the Tribulation.  The merchants of the world are devastated because the great wealth they make from MB is no more.
Nineteen

The end of the Tribulation
Jesus Christ returns to the earth in great glory and honor along with the saints of the Old Testament and Church Age.  He returns at the battle of Armageddon.  The armies of the world, led by Antichrist, attempt to do battle with Jesus.  Jesus then destroys Antichrist's armies and He will rule over the earth for one thousand years as its King.  Antichrist and the False Prophet are captured, judged and cast into the lake of fire and brimstone.
Twenty

The Millennium Kingdom
Satan is captured and placed into the bottomless pit for 1,000 years.  Thus he cannot deceive the nations for that time.  Those that were beheaded by Antichrist during the Tribulation are resurrected by Christ and they reign with Christ during the Millennium Kingdom (MK).  Those gentiles that did not take the mark of the beast (666) will be allowed to enter the MK and marry and have children. They will still have their fallen nature.  By the end of the MK, the world population will increase to millions or even billions of people.  When the MK is complete, Satan will be released from the bottomless pit to reveal the evil in the hearts of unsaved mankind.  All unsaved mankind are deceived and form an army to attempt to conquer Jesus Christ who has His throne at Jerusalem.  They are immediately destroyed by fire from Heaven.  Satan is then cast into the lake of fire and brimstone and will be there forever.  The unsaved are then resurrected and stand before Jesus at the great white throne for the judgment of their works.  All are then cast into the lake of fire and will remain there forever.
Twenty one

Eternity
God brings New Jerusalem down from Heaven and it orbits the earth.  It contains the thrones of God the Father and Jesus Christ and will be the primary residence of Old Testament Saints and Christians saved during the Church Age.  Every saint will have received their resurrection bodies and be perfect in body, soul and spirit.  No sin will ever be committed in New Jerusalem.  The wonderful qualities of this great city are described.  It has streets of gold and foundations of precious stones.  Entrance is via twelve gates, each of which is a great pearl.
Twenty two

Eternity, then back to the time just before the beginning of the Tribulation
The River of the water of Life and the Tree of Life are described and all the saints will be able to see the face of God the Father.  All tears caused by the suffering of Christ's saints will be wiped away.

The time frame then returns to today, just before the beginning of the Tribulation.  Jesus then will bless all Christians that keep the commands and prophecies written in the book of Revelation.  Jesus commands us to not be silent about the prophecies in the Book of Revelation because He could return suddenly.  The warnings given to the four end time churches in chapters 2 and 3 should be obeyed so we will not be surprised at Jesus' return.  Along with John, all faithful  Christians will be beckoning for Jesus' return and say: "Come, Lord Jesus."  These are not all Christians but are only the Philadelphia Christians that are currently watching and are prepared for His return.  Jesus gives a final warning: Don't add anything to the prophecies and Don't take away from the prophecies in the Book of Revelation.  If you do, you will be left behind after the First Fruits Rapture to endure 3 1/2 years of the Tribulation.
